The Marathi Department is a vibrant and dynamic academic unit dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of the Marathi language, literature, and culture. Marathi, one of India's rich and diverse languages, is not only the official language of the state of Maharashtra but also holds cultural significance worldwide. The department is committed to nurturing a deep appreciation for Marathi literature and culture among the students while fostering a sense of pride in the heritage of this language. At present, Dr. Balaji Gaikwad is serving as the head of the department. Under the dynamic and energetic leadership of Dr. Gaikwad, the department is making progress day by day. Dr. Vrundavan Namwade, Dr. Prakash Hivrale, Dr. Shailesh Kamble, and Mr. Hanmant Hande are working as team members who are contributing equally to the department's development.
